Contest: FruitShare™ Haiku

Join us for the first-ever FruitShare™ Haiku Contest! Write a short poem (guidelines below) and submit it to the contest on Twitter (rules below). The winner will be chosen from the poems that reach 8 points or higher, and he or she will win a FruitShare™ t-shirt. Get writing for your chance to win!

Haiku Guidelines – A haiku is a short poem modeled after a specific Japanese form. It is three lines long, with a total of 17 syllables. The first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7, and the third has 5 again.

Here is an example of a FruitShare™ haiku:

Cold sweet delicious

A mini sun in my palm

Melts the clouds away

Contest Rules and Earning Points – Submit a haiku about one of our fruits that is shipping this week. The winning haiku will be chosen from the poems that reach 8 points or more. You will receive points as follows:

1 point – submit a haiku tagged with #FruitShareHaiku on Twitter

1 point – Twitter mention

2 points – Retweet

2 points – “like” on Facebook

2 points – mention FruitShare™

2 points – include the name of a fruit we are shipping in your haiku
