3 Exercises to Do at Work

Do you sit at a desk all day long? Do you feel too busy to exercise? It’s not difficult to work in some simple exercises while you’re at work.

  1. Tricep Desk Dips: Stand facing away from your desk with your palms on the edge. Dip down until your elbows are at a 90-degree angle, then rise back up. Repeat 20 times.
  2. Sitting Spinal Stretch: Place your left hand on your desk and grasp the back of your chair with your right hand. Twist to the right. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat in the opposite direction.
  3. Feet Up Hamstring Stretch: Push away from your desk and put a leg up on the desk. Flex your foot and lean forward to stretch your hamstring, calf and lower back. Hold for 10 seconds. Sit up, point your foot and lean forward. Hold for 10 seconds. Switch legs and repeat.

While these exercises won’t replace a workout routine, they will help you stay more energized and alert. It’s important to move your body once every hour of sitting still.
